Rohir Naik Delivered Student Induction Session on Responsible Social Media Use at Government College, Quepem

As part of the Student Induction Programme for postgraduate students, Mr. Rohir Naik, Founder & CEO of Coderix Solutions LLP, was invited as the keynote speaker to conduct an insightful session on “Responsible Social Media Use” at the Government College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Quepem, Goa.

Organised by the Post Graduate Department of Commerce (M.Com) and Research, the programme was coordinated by Ms. Gail Pires under the guidance of Prof. Dr. R. Sathish, Head of the Post Graduate Department of Commerce (M.Com) & Research and Prof. (Dr.) Pravina Kerkar, Principal.

Addressing the newly inducted postgraduate students, Rohir Naik highlighted the growing influence of social media in today’s digital-first world and the responsibility that comes with using these platforms. He spoke about building a positive digital identity, understanding the long-term impact of online actions, combating misinformation, safeguarding personal privacy and leveraging social media as a tool for learning, networking, entrepreneurship and career development.

Drawing insights from his entrepreneurial journey and extensive experience in digital marketing, Mr. Naik shared practical examples that helped students understand how responsible digital behaviour can create meaningful opportunities while preventing the risks associated with the misuse of online platforms. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to participate actively, raising questions on personal branding, content creation, digital ethics, and emerging career opportunities in terms of business and professional life in the digital ecosystem with a positive mindset.

The session concluded with an engaging discussion, leaving students with valuable insights into becoming responsible digital citizens and future professionals.
