A Memorable Experience of Growth and Collaboration at Bridging Horizons
As I entered December, the month of festivities and celebrations brought in the vibe of positivity and self-motivation that was supposed to be shared. With this thought, as I was into the action of continuing with my work, to my surprise, I got an invite to be a guest speaker on the panel at the second series of “Bridging Horizons: A Confluence of Industry, Institute, and Innovation.” This was one influencing event that I couldn’t miss sharing my experience with.
The event was organised by the ASSOCHAM Goa State Development Council in collaboration with the Department of IT, Electronics & Communication, Government of Goa on December 12th 2024 at the Government Multipurpose College, Borda Margao. The event was attended by industry executives, academic pioneers, tech enthusiasts, and policymakers. In the crowd of aspiring students & teachers, there were many to take their inspiration for the future.
As I took to the stage to share my thoughts, a powerful sense of purpose swept over me. It’s a special opportunity to be a part of a program that empowers upcoming entrepreneurs, develops entrepreneurial skills, and drives innovation from the ground up. When I was stepping into entrepreneurship years back, even I was seeking such inspiration and today I was here to be there for people like me. The event addressed critical challenges in today’s tech and entrepreneurial landscape, with a focus on embracing emerging opportunities in a market that is rapidly shifting, closing skill gaps to improve employability, fostering meaningful collaborations between industry and academia, and empowering Goa’s vibrant community of tech enthusiasts.
One of the highlights of the event for me was the open dialogue with young entrepreneurs and students. This part is where the questions and ideas of the brightest minds show their immense potential and innovative stance. These kinds of interactive sessions play a reminder of why such initiatives are vital, they don’t just inspire; they ignite transformation. The event brought together some of the most brilliant minds from many sectors, including industry executives, academic pioneers, tech enthusiasts, and policymakers, who were all motivated by the same goal of advancing Goa’s startup ecosystem and strengthening connections between industries and institutions.
The energy in the room was noticeable, as esteemed industry veterans, students and local innovators gathered to share their experiences and insights. I had the opportunity to meet some genuinely exceptional people, each with their distinct thoughts and answers. What stood out was the consistent commitment to collaborative work. Every talk by other panellists and every encounter was a step towards something bigger and better for Goa, probably a future in which Goa stands out as a centre for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Looking back on the day, I feel really lucky to have been a part of it. Platforms like this foster the notion that success is more than simply personal development; it is about contributing to a bigger ecosystem in which everyone succeeds together. The talks and interactions automatically give you the boost to do better in your daily life.
The event concluded and everyone was on their way back to routine, while I came out and saw people leaving, for a moment I froze. A sense of gratitude crawled over me for everyone who has been involved in organising such events and fostering the young talents to do better with a steady push from established entrepreneurs, specialists, and honoured dignitaries in their respective fields. It was an incredible experience and a reminder of the importance of engaging in such initiatives. These gatherings are invaluable opportunities for future growth for those seeking knowledge.
