On March 8, 2025, I had the honour of being a speaker at CONVERGE 2.0, Shiksha Udyojak Sangam, an Academia-Industry Summit hosted by Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts & Commerce, Pernem, Goa. Organised by the Goa State Higher Education Council, the Centralized Training and Internship Cell (TIP) and the Centralized Institution Innovation Council (IIC) of the Directorate of Higher Education, This event was an exciting platform that brought together academia and industry leaders to explore the changing environment of technology and entrepreneurship.
I was invited to deliver a session on “Digital Disruption & Entrepreneurship: Navigating the Future” at their Multipurpose Hall. It was an enriching experience to interact with students, faculty and industry professionals, sharing insights on how digital transformation is reshaping businesses and careers. As the academic year comes to end in April, educational institutes make an effort to make the students choose a career path in various industries by motivating them with seminars and talks by inspiring figures of the society.
During my session, we discussed new technology trends, the influence of AI, automation and the value of adaptation in entrepreneurship. The enthusiasm of the students was truly inspiring, their curiosity about the future of digital innovation sparked a thought-provoking discussion. The highlight of such events for me is the opportunity to interact directly with young minds, addressing their questions about startups, digital business tactics, and how they may prepare for the future. The discussions confirmed my opinion that India’s future generation of entrepreneurs has enormous potential and simply requires the correct guidance and exposure to survive in the ever-changing tech-driven world.
I am grateful to the organisers for hosting such an impactful event to enrich the students. I would like to extend a special thanks to the CSRBOX team and IBM Skillbuild, the event’s implementation partners, for their dedication to empowering young minds with valuable insights and skills.
The experience at CONVERGE 2.0 was both humbling and energizing. I look forward to continuing my journey of mentoring and inspiring students to be self-dependent business leaders and embrace innovation and entrepreneurship with confidence. It gives me a sense of satisfaction to help the ones in choosing the right career path. Giving knowledge is always an inspiring job in the world, what one possesses should be passed to the next generation of learners after all, they are the ‘New Youth, New India’ that will shape our future.
